Al-Houthi on the 11th Anniversary of the “Aggression”: We Are Not Neutral and Are Monitoring Hostile Activities Against Yemen… A Direct Message to Saudi Arabia
Ansar Allah leader calls on Riyadh to end the war and lift the blockade, and affirms Yemen’s involvement in a broader regional confrontation

NYN | Reports and Analyses
The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, affirmed that Yemen will not remain neutral in what he described as the “major battle” in the region, marking the eleventh anniversary of the start of military operations in Yemen.
In a speech, al-Houthi said that his country has, in recent periods, worked to reduce escalation with the Saudi-led coalition, noting that Yemeni efforts have focused on directly confronting what he described as the “American and Israeli enemy.”
Call to End the War and Open a Path to Peace
Al-Houthi renewed his call for Saudi Arabia to completely halt military operations, stressing that the path to peace “remains open” if, as he put it, there are “serious intentions” from Riyadh.
He added that achieving security and stability in the region depends on ending what he described as the “aggression and blockade,” noting that the continuation of military operations serves no party’s interests.
Accusations of Ongoing Hostile Activities
The Ansar Allah leader accused Saudi Arabia of continuing “hostile activities” against Yemen, including, according to his claims, intelligence operations and the formation of espionage cells, in addition to what he described as an ongoing “economic blockade and aggression” lasting for years.
He also pointed to regional and international partnerships in these activities, considering that this complicates chances for de-escalation and prolongs the conflict.
Position on Regional Escalation
In a related context, al-Houthi emphasized that Yemen will not remain neutral regarding regional developments, particularly concerning escalation between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.
He stated that Sana’a “understands the nature of this phase and its role in it,” indicating the possibility of broader involvement in ongoing regional tensions.
Background
This statement comes amid rising regional tensions and continued stagnation in the political settlement process of the Yemeni crisis, despite international efforts aimed at maintaining de-escalation and advancing toward a comprehensive solution.
