“American-British” Air Strikes on Hodeidah

NYN | News

The Al-Masirah channel affiliated with the Houthi Ansarullah movement reported today, Wednesday, that the Hodeidah International Airport in western Yemen was targeted by a series of air strikes by American-British aircraft.

According to the channel, the American and British aircraft launched 6 air strikes on Hodeidah airport, without providing further details on the material or human damages.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first time the Hodeidah International Airport has been targeted. Since the beginning of this May, the American and British aircraft have launched a series of air strikes targeting the airport, with 5 air strikes on May 2, one air strike on May 13, and 4 air strikes on May 14 targeting the airport and its public facilities south of the city of Hodeidah.

Hodeidah overlooks the Red Sea and is one of the most important governorates in Yemen, as it contains an international airport in addition to having a long coastal strip.

The Sanaa government forces have been carrying out attacks in the Red Sea on Israeli ships or those heading to Israel “in support and solidarity with the Palestinian people and Gaza” since last November.

In response, the United States and its allies formed a military force to deal with the Sanaa strikes, with American and British planes launching several strikes on various areas in Yemen, while the US military occasionally carries out missions separately from any naval coalition in the region.
