Yemenia Airways has confirmed that it is continuing to implement its Airbus aircraft purchase agreements, as part of a strategic direction aimed at modernizing its fleet and enhancing the company’s operational capabilities in the coming period.
Regular Board of Directors Meeting
According to the Saba News Agency, the Board of Directors of Yemenia Airways discussed, at the conclusion of its fourth regular meeting for 2025, held yesterday, Sunday, in the Egyptian capital Cairo, a number of issues related to the company’s operations and its future operational plans.
Updates on Airbus Deals
The meeting reviewed the latest developments regarding the Airbus A350 aircraft deal, along with discussions of related solutions, alternatives, and treatments. The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the agreements to purchase Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo aircraft, in line with the requirements of development and modernization in the air transport sector.
Financing Plans and Fleet Support
The Board emphasized the importance of preparing future plans to secure the necessary financing and support, in a way that contributes to strengthening the company’s fleet, raising operational efficiency, and improving the level of services provided to passengers.
Performance Review and Challenges
The meeting also reviewed the most notable achievements made by Yemenia Airways during 2025, in addition to discussing the challenges and obstacles that affected operational performance. It further included an evaluation of the company’s financial and operational performance for the third quarter of the current year.
2026 Budget on the Table
The Board addressed the projected budget for 2026, as part of efforts to develop a balanced financial and operational vision that supports the company’s stability and the continuity of its activities under the current circumstances.
