German Research Center: Sanaa Has Redefined Leadership and Sovereignty and Imposed Its Equations on Washington
The German Bruggen Center calls on world leaders to attend the “Sanaa School” to learn the meaning of dignity and how to lead confrontation with major powers

A German center specializing in strategic studies has called on world leaders to draw lessons from the Yemeni experience, arguing that Sanaa has presented a unique model of leadership and conflict management, and has succeeded in imposing its own equations on the United States rather than submitting to its dictates.
Radwan Qassem, founder of the German Bruggen Center for Strategic Studies, said in posts on social media platforms that world leaders should “enter the Sanaa School to learn the meaning of dignity, honor, and pride, and the meaning of not submitting to tyrants,” noting that this experience has become an inspiring model for peoples seeking independence and sovereignty.
A Different Model of Leadership and Conflict Management
Qassem explained that the leadership of Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has presented a different vision of leadership, based on steadfastness and imposing conditions in the face of major powers. He stressed that this experience “redefined the meaning of national sovereignty and proved that peoples are capable of breaking the dominance of great powers.”
He pointed to what he described as the U.S. administration’s acquiescence, during the tenure of former President Donald Trump, to an agreement with Sanaa, following the failure of U.S. forces in a confrontation that lasted two years in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Yemen… A Global School of Resistance
The founder of the German center emphasized that the Yemeni experience has turned into a global model for resisting aggression, noting that “the peoples of the world are learning from Sanaa how to confront any external attack.”
He added that Yemen’s stance in support of Palestine, along with its steadfastness in the face of continuous aggression for more than ten years by the United States, Britain, the Israeli occupation entity, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, has strengthened Yemen’s status as a political and moral school in confronting hegemony.
A Year Marked by Escalation and Confrontation
Qassem noted that 2025 witnessed repeated military escalations against Yemen, the latest being a Zionist aggression coinciding with the ongoing war of extermination in Gaza. He affirmed that, despite this, Sanaa has managed to maintain deterrence equations and continue its influential regional role.
