The Ministry of Health and Environment in the Sanaa-based government announced on Wednesday that the number of civilian casualties from U.S. airstrikes on Yemen between March 15, 2025, and April 9 has exceeded 330 killed and wounded.
Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi, the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that the number of martyrs due to U.S. strikes during this period reached 111, while 223 civilians were injured—including women and children.
Al-Asbahi condemned the deliberate targeting of civilians across Yemeni provinces, describing the attacks as evidence of the moral collapse of the American enemy.
He also pointed to the international silence and complicity in the face of American aggression, saying this has provided cover for the continuation of such violations.
He held the United States, the international community, and humanitarian and human rights organizations fully responsible, calling for immediate action to expose and halt these crimes.
He also urged effective intervention to stop the targeting of civilians and critical service and medical facilities.
The latest casualty figures included the death and injury of 26 civilians in a U.S. airstrike last night on the Amin Maqbil residential area in Al-Hawak district, Hodeidah province. This raised the toll to 112 martyrs and 223 wounded, following the death of one of the previously injured after the initial statement by the Health Ministry’s spokesperson.
The ministry reaffirmed that these assaults will not deter the Yemeni people from their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and their solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.
