The Israeli occupation authorities, on Tuesday, took new measures to restrict media coverage related to Yemen, amid the escalation of Yemeni attacks in support of Gaza and the growing state of panic among Israeli settlers.
Hebrew media outlets faced official pressure that led them to withdraw the publication of an interview with former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, which had sparked widespread controversy.
Israeli Channel 14 issued an apology for broadcasting the interview, in which Gallant admitted the failure of American strikes to contain the Yemeni threat, describing the attacks as the most dangerous in the entity’s history.
Simultaneously, Israeli authorities rushed to implement new measures to address the repercussions of the Yemeni strikes, including activating an early warning system that sends direct messages to settlers’ phones upon detecting any missile attack.
This step aims to avoid scenes of chaos recently witnessed as residents scrambled toward shelters when sirens sounded.
These moves reflect the growing anxiety within the Israeli occupation entity over the continued Yemeni operations, amid fears that they could escalate even further in the coming period.
