Iran Opens a Broad Front Against “Israel” and U.S. Bases in the Region: Continuous Missile Strikes and Explosions in Several Capitals

Araghchi: We Were Prepared for This Day… Our Forces Will Teach the Aggressors a Harsh Lesson

In the early hours of today, the region witnessed an unprecedented military escalation after Iran announced it had carried out wide-ranging missile attacks targeting sites inside “Israel” and several U.S. bases across the Middle East. Tehran said the strikes were in response to a U.S.–Israeli attack that allegedly targeted Iranian territory in recent hours.

Simultaneous Strikes Hit Multiple Countries

According to international media sources, including Reuters, a powerful explosion was heard in Abu Dhabi, while reports indicated that U.S. military sites in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, and Jordan had been targeted.

Reports citing a source in Qatar’s Ministry of Defense stated that a U.S. long-range radar system was struck by a missile attack, with estimates suggesting the targeted system is valued at more than $1 billion.

Explosions Inside “Israel” and Media Blackout

Inside Israel, local media reported successive explosions in cities including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Ashkelon, despite a media blackout imposed by military censorship. Social media users circulated video footage showing fires and material damage at several locations.

Reports also indicated that millions of Israelis headed to shelters from the early hours of dawn, as air raid sirens continued to sound in multiple areas.

Ongoing Targeting and Rising Tensions

Sources monitoring the situation said the Iranian attacks came in successive waves, targeting U.S. military bases in several Gulf capitals. No reports had emerged of strikes in Riyadh or Muscat at the time of writing.

This escalation comes amid rising U.S.–Iran tensions over complex regional and security issues, raising the possibility of a broader confrontation should the exchange of strikes continue.

Araghchi: Ready for Any Confrontation

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran’s armed forces had been fully prepared for such a scenario, asserting that his country “will teach the aggressors a lesson they deserve,” in his words.

The coming hours are expected to bring rapid military and political developments, amid international concerns that the region could slide into a wider conflict extending beyond the current scope of engagement.
