Sanaa Government Forces announced today, Tuesday, that they have carried out a series of military operations in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden, targeting American and Israeli ships, as well as a vessel that violated the ban on entering ports in occupied Palestine. They also confirmed their readiness to carry out threats by the leader of the Houthis’ Ansar Allah movement against Saudi Arabia if directed to do so.
The spokesperson for the Sanaa Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated in a declaration that “the naval forces, the air force, and the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces conducted several military operations as follows”:
“Targeting the American ship (Maersk Sentosa) in the Arabian Sea through a joint operation by the naval forces and the missile force with several ballistic and cruise missiles. The strike was precise and direct, by the grace of God.”
“Targeting the ship (Marthopolis) in the Arabian Sea with several drones. The operation was executed by the air force, and the strike was accurate, by the grace of God. The ship was targeted because its owning company violated the ban on entering ports in occupied Palestine.”
“Targeting the Israeli ship (MSC Patnaree) in the Gulf of Aden with several drones. The operation was executed by the air force and achieved its goal successfully.”
He added that these operations are in “response to the injustices against the Palestinian people and their fighters, and in retaliation for the massacres committed by the Israeli enemy against the people of Gaza, as well as in response to the American-British aggression against our country.” He reaffirmed that “the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces will not cease until the aggression stops and the blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza is lifted.”
The statement from Sanaa Forces confirmed their readiness to execute the warning threats made by the leader of Ansar Allah, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, against Saudi Arabia, targeting its vital facilities after accusing it of taking “hostile actions in service of America and Israel.” The statement read: “The Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God, are fully prepared and ready to carry out the necessary missions against all parties supporting the Israeli enemy and targeting the Yemeni people, providing military facilities to the American and Israeli enemies to target the Yemeni people.”
In a televised speech the day before yesterday, al-Houthi threatened Saudi Arabia with strikes on its most vital facilities, including airports, banks, and ports, after accusing it of carrying out “hostile actions against the Yemeni people in service of America and Israel.”
Following this, the Sanaa Government Forces published aerial images through their military media of several key and large airports and ports in Saudi Arabia, along with their coordinates, confirming they would be on their target list after the threats made by al-Houthi.
