The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported this evening, Monday, that a new attack targeted a ship near Hodeidah, just hours after it had already faced two earlier attacks.
The UKMTO clarified that “the ship, which had been attacked by two unmanned boats and missile fire in an incident 70 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, is now reporting a third attack by an unknown projectile.”
Earlier, the UKMTO announced receiving a report of a commercial ship being attacked by three small boats 70 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen.
It detailed that an unmanned small boat had collided with the ship twice, while two manned small boats had fired upon it. The ship and its crew are safe and are heading to their next port of call after “taking self-protection measures.”
