US President Joe Biden announced today, Sunday, that he is stepping down from the presidential race against his competitor, former President and current candidate Donald Trump.

In a speech, Biden stated that he has decided to withdraw from running in the US presidential elections and will address the “nation” later this week regarding his decision. He added that he will “focus on fulfilling his presidential duties until the end of his term.”

He continued, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to step down and focus solely on performing my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
