Military operations in the Red Sea continue amid escalating tensions in the region following the onset of the Israeli assault on Gaza.
The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) provided updates on the targeted vessel near the Yemeni coast.
In a statement, the UKMTO reported that “the commercial vessel targeted northwest of Hodeidah is now adrift after its crew was evacuated to Djibouti.”
Earlier, the agency had reported an attack on a ship 105 nautical miles northwest of Hodeidah. As of now, no statement has been issued by the Sana’a government regarding responsibility for the operation in the past hours.
