As part of its efforts to facilitate procedures and ease the burdens on foreign residents, the Immigration, Passports, and Nationality Authority in Sana’a has announced a special initiative that includes a partial exemption from fines related to correcting residency status.

This initiative aims to encourage foreigners to regularize their legal status within a limited period, while warning those who ignore this opportunity of facing legal actions.

The Immigration, Passports, and Nationality Authority in Sana’a has launched a special grant offering foreign residents a chance to benefit from a 50% reduction on fines related to correcting their residency status.

The initiative started on January 20, 2025, and will continue until February 20 of the same year. This initiative aims to simplify procedures and encourage foreigners to comply with local laws.

The authority confirmed that this step is intended to alleviate the financial burdens on foreign residents and urged them to take advantage of this opportunity to regularize their legal status before the deadline. It also warned that illegal residents who do not respond to this invitation will be subjected to the legal actions stipulated in the applicable laws.

The authority called on all concerned foreigners to visit its offices in various governorates to complete the necessary procedures within the specified period, emphasizing that this initiative represents a golden opportunity to avoid penalties and regularize their status legally.
