Abu Dhabi’s Fingerprints in New Delhi: Yemeni Activist Disappears Under Mysterious Circumstances

NYN | News

Yemeni activists have directly accused UAE intelligence of being behind the abduction of Yemeni activist and politician Adel Al-Hasani from New Delhi Airport in India, confirming that his fate has remained unknown since his arrest several days ago.

According to the activists, Indian authorities detained Al-Hasani at the request of the UAE, in an incident that sparked widespread outrage across social media platforms, with growing calls on the Indian government to disclose the circumstances of the arrest and the location of his detention.

The incident comes shortly after the signing of a security agreement between the UAE and India, titled “Joint Protection,” which observers believe may be linked to the increasing level of security cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Hasani is considered one of the most prominent Yemeni activists opposing the UAE’s intervention in Yemen, and serves as the head of the Peace Forum to End the War on Yemen. He is well known for his public criticism of Abu Dhabi’s role in the Yemeni conflict.
