Hebrew media outlets, including Maariv and Channel 13, reported a threat described as “direct and unprecedented” issued by Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, against any presence linked to the Israeli occupation in the Somaliland region.

Close Monitoring of Israeli Movements

According to the Hebrew media, al-Houthi stated in a public address on Thursday afternoon that Ansar Allah has intensified monitoring and tracking of Israeli movements in Somaliland, noting that the issue is now under direct oversight at the highest levels.

Targeting Any Military or Potential Bases

He added that the movement is taking any Israeli efforts to establish military or intelligence installations in the region very seriously, emphasizing that any such facility would be considered a legitimate target.

“Without Hesitation” Within Capabilities

The Ansar Allah leader stressed, according to Hebrew sources, that any permanent Israeli presence within the movement’s military capabilities will be dealt with “without hesitation”, signaling Sanaa’s readiness to expand its operational reach beyond Yemeni territory.

Israeli Concern and Rising Regional Tensions

These statements come amid escalating regional tensions in the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa, with growing political and military concerns within the Israeli establishment about the expanding threats posed by Israeli military and intelligence deployments in the area.
