The United States has intensified its airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and its surroundings, in a dangerous escalation considered the largest in weeks.
American aircraft launched a series of violent raids this evening, targeting several areas in the capital, including Nuqom, Sanhan, Bani Hashish, Al-Sawad, and Al-Hafa, causing explosions that rocked the city due to the use of powerful shock bombs.
Local sources confirmed that intense aerial activity is still ongoing over the capital, amid widespread anxiety among civilians, especially as the number of airstrikes has surpassed 20 at the time of this report.
The bombing also extended to the Al-Hazm District in Al-Jawf Governorate, northeast of the country.
This escalation comes at a time when the region is witnessing growing tensions against the backdrop of Yemen’s pro-Palestinian resistance stance in Gaza, which Sanaa views as part of a broader regional battle against American and Israeli dominance.
