The Chief of Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, sent a heartfelt and strategically appreciative message to the Chief of General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces affiliated with the Sanaa-based government. In the message, he expressed deep gratitude for Yemen’s unwavering support of the Palestinian cause, especially amid the ongoing aggression against Gaza.
The Al-Qassam Chief of Staff noted that the message they received from Yemen during the blessed Eid al-Adha was “filled with sincere brotherhood, noble Arab spirit, and blessed Yemeni chivalry,” affirming that its words had a profound impact due to their sincerity and shared commitment to a common struggle.
He added in the letter: “Through you, we extend our deep respect and appreciation to the Mujahid leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, to the Yemeni Armed Forces, and to our dear Yemeni brothers and sisters.” He emphasized that Gaza today stands firmly alongside the victorious axis of Islam in confronting arrogant Zionism, as he put it.
The Al-Qassam commander also expressed his pride in what he described as “the everlasting jihadist heroism of the sincere brothers in the Yemen of wisdom and faith,” stressing that the path of resistance unites free peoples against occupation and arrogance.
This message comes at a time of major regional shifts, with Sanaa taking increasingly open positions in support of the Palestinian resistance—whether through political statements or military operations targeting Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea and within Israeli territory.
