The Islamic Republic of Iran carried out a direct missile strike on Tuesday morning, targeting the city of Be’er Sheva, resulting in fatalities and extensive destruction in the heart of residential areas.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, the Iranian missile directly struck the fifth and sixth floors of a building, leading to the complete collapse of an internal floor. Preliminary assessments by officers from the Israeli army’s Southern Command indicated that the missile was equipped with a warhead weighing between 300 and 500 kilograms — making it one of the most powerful and precise strikes since the beginning of the escalation.
Israel’s emergency medical services later announced that the death toll had risen to five as a result of the strike on Be’er Sheva. Emergency teams continue to search under the rubble amid fears that more victims may be trapped.
Activists shared images on social media showing the extent of the destruction at the targeted site, including near-total destruction of the upper floors of the building — supporting reports that the target was hit with precision despite the presence of alert and air defense systems.
The strike, which comes at the height of an unprecedented level of regional tension, marks a significant development in Iran’s retaliatory capabilities and sends a clear message: targeting Israel’s heartland is no longer symbolic, but rather carries real human and strategic costs.
