The Iranian Armed Forces have warned of the consequences of the presence of the U.S. aircraft carrier “Gerald Ford” in the Red Sea, describing its military deployment in the region as a direct threat to Iranian security. Tehran also stressed that it would treat any facilities providing logistical support to the carrier as legitimate military targets.

A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Military Headquarters, in statements carried by the Iranian news agency ISNA, said that the Iranian military is closely monitoring U.S. military movements in the region. He emphasized that any facilities or bases providing supply or maintenance services to the American aircraft carrier would be included in the Iranian armed forces’ target bank.

Warning of Targeting Support Centers

The Iranian military official confirmed that Tehran considers all centers providing direct or indirect support to the U.S. carrier as part of the ongoing military operations against Iran. He explained that such sites could be targeted if they continue providing logistical support to U.S. forces.

Accusations of Using Regional Bases

These statements come amid Iranian accusations that Washington is using its military bases across the region to carry out operations against Iran. This allegedly includes the launch of U.S. warplanes and aerial refueling operations used to conduct strikes targeting cities and facilities inside Iranian territory.

Meanwhile, some Gulf countries have denied participating in any military operations against Iran, despite continued tensions and military escalation in the region in recent weeks.
