Hebrew Press: Framework Agreement with Iran Reveals Washington’s Failure and Israel’s Decline in the War of Attrition
Zionist Analysts: Tehran Emerged Stronger from the Confrontation as America Moves Toward Settlement After the Failure of the “Maximum Pressure” Policy

NYN | Reports and Analyses
Analyses published by Hebrew-language media outlets acknowledged the failure of the United States and the Israeli occupation entity to achieve the main objectives of the escalation campaign against Iran, considering that the growing discussion about a framework agreement between Washington and Tehran reflects a clear shift from confrontation toward a path of political settlement.
Military analyst Amos Harel of Haaretz stated that the increasing indications of a near understanding between the United States and Iran effectively represent an American retreat from the war objectives announced by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration at the beginning of the escalation.
Harel explained that the “maximum pressure” policy and the naval blockade imposed on Iran failed to produce the desired results, noting that the outlines of the potential framework agreement suggest that Tehran succeeded in imposing new equations in the region, contrary to what Washington and “Israel” had sought.
In the same context, political analyst Nahum Barnea of Yedioth Ahronoth said that Iran emerged from the regional confrontation in a stronger position compared to previous American and Israeli estimates.
He added that the state of anticipation in Washington and “Tel Aviv” regarding what Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei may announce about the expected agreement itself represents a “political and strategic gain for Tehran,” in his words.
Barnea pointed out that Israeli plans aimed at weakening the Iranian regime or pushing it toward collapse had not materialized, at a time when the occupation is facing a multi-front war of attrition amid a declining ability to achieve a clear military resolution across various confrontation arenas.
Rising Concern Within Israeli Circles
According to observers, these assessments reflect growing concern within Israeli political and media circles over the consequences of any potential U.S.-Iran agreement, especially in light of failed military bets and the continuation of regional tensions that have placed increasing pressure on both the occupation government and the United States alike.
