The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Tuesday the execution of a new military operation targeting the Saudi oil tanker NCC GHAZAL, following its violation of the naval blockade imposed on Saudi Arabia, according to an official statement by the armed forces spokesman.

Vessel Targeted After Ignoring Warnings

The military spokesman explained that the ship ignored calls and warnings issued to it prior to the operation, prompting the armed forces to target it with several ballistic missiles.

He added that the operation forced the vessel to retreat and turn back, confirming that the strike came as part of enforcing the naval blockade imposed on Saudi-linked ships.

Affirmation to Continue Enforcing the Blockade

The statement noted that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue implementing their measures regarding the naval blockade, emphasizing that any vessel violating the decision and ignoring warnings will be subject to the announced military actions.

This development comes amid ongoing tensions in the Red Sea and continued operations enforcing restrictions on maritime traffic, with close observation of how these events will impact shipping and energy flows in the region.
