Iran Threatens Wave 101 of “True Promise 4”… Military Warning as Tensions with Washington Escalate

Tehran links the resumption of missile and drone strikes to any U.S. “strategic mistake” or collapse of the ceasefire agreement

The spokesperson of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, announced on Tuesday that Iranian armed forces are fully prepared to launch Wave 101 of the “True Promise 4” operations, should the United States or the Israeli entity commit any “strategic mistake,” or at the first moment of a collapse in the ceasefire agreement.

Continuous Readiness and Conditional Escalation

Zolfaghari explained that Iran’s military readiness has not diminished, stressing that the option of resuming missile and drone strikes remains strongly on the table. He added that it is directly tied to any field or political developments that Tehran may interpret as a violation or reversal of existing understandings.

Uncertainty Surrounding Talks with Washington

These remarks come amid growing uncertainty over the future of negotiations between Tehran and Washington, particularly as it remains unclear whether new rounds of talks will resume. This is compounded by Iranian accusations that the United States continues to violate the ceasefire agreement and tighten restrictions on commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

100 Waves in 40 Days

According to Iranian statements, Tehran carried out around 100 waves of missile and drone attacks within a period not exceeding 40 days, as part of its response to what it describes as “American and Zionist aggression.”

Deterrence Messaging and Sustained Readiness

Observers say these warnings reflect Iran’s continued adoption of a military deterrence strategy, emphasizing that its forces have not “taken their finger off the trigger” and are ready to respond immediately to any potential escalation.

Tehran also asserts that its previous operations targeted hundreds of sites, including military bases and critical infrastructure, as part of field messages aimed at imposing new regional equations.
