The United States and the United Kingdom renewed their airstrikes on the coastal province of Hodeidah in western Yemen, south of the Red Sea, on Thursday.
According to a local authority source in Hodeidah, as reported by Russia’s Sputnik news agency, American and British warplanes launched five airstrikes on the Ras Isa area, which includes an oil terminal affiliated with the Salif port, north of the city of Hodeidah.
The source added that the airstrikes were preceded by intensive reconnaissance drone flights along the coastal strip of Hodeidah province.
The US and UK have continued their airstrikes on Yemen for months, aiming to pressure the Sanaa-based government forces to halt their military operations against Israeli shipping and targets in the occupied Palestinian territories. These operations are claimed to be in support of Gaza and will not cease until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted.
