An analysis published by the British website Middle East Eye has warned of the serious consequences the United Arab Emirates may face as a result of its growing involvement in the military strategy led by the United States and the Israeli occupation entity in the region, stressing that this path threatens its internal security and economic stability.

The analysis writer and editor-in-chief David Hearst stated that Emirati policies have gone beyond traditional political alignment, evolving into an advanced security, military, and technological partnership with Washington and the Israeli entity. This, he argued, places Abu Dhabi in the position of a “direct partner” within a regional project that overlaps with Israeli objectives in the region.

The analysis noted that the recent Iranian escalation reflects a clear shift in Tehran’s perception of the UAE’s role, as the country is now viewed as an actively involved party in the confrontation rather than merely a political or logistical supporter.

Fujairah Attack Marks a New Phase

The report pointed out that this warning comes in the aftermath of the Iranian attack targeting the Emirate of Fujairah, which Tehran said was in response to Abu Dhabi’s support for U.S. military operations aimed at imposing control over the Strait of Hormuz by force.

It added that this development indicates a reclassification of the UAE in Iranian calculations as a contributing party to what it describes as the “Greater Israel” project, through facilitating military movements and security coordination with the occupation.

Technical and Military Cooperation Angers Tehran

The British outlet stated that Emirati cooperation with the Israeli entity, particularly in areas such as aerial surveillance, laser systems, and defense technologies, has angered Iran’s military leadership, which issued stern warnings to Abu Dhabi against continuing its role in supporting Israeli interests at the expense of regional security.

The analysis cited direct Iranian threats stating that the UAE “will receive a lesson it will not forget” if it continues its involvement in projects targeting Iran’s national security.

Fears of Economic Infrastructure Being Targeted

The analysis further suggested that continued Emirati alignment along this path could expose its economic infrastructure and vital ports to increasing risks, especially after what it described as Iran’s demonstrated ability to reach deep into Emirati territory and disable sensitive strategic facilities.

It added that any future escalation could directly affect the UAE’s economic and investment standing, amid growing regional concerns over the expansion of the conflict across the Gulf.
